Pricing Details

Q. How much does slide scanning cost? I do not understand the rates.

A. BIOGEM charges on a per slide basis. The rates are on our web site http://www.microarrays.ucsd.edu/biogem/pricing.php

For Profit Rate

Array Scanning Services
arsc1 Slide Set 1-2 $50 $73 $100
arsc3 Slide Set 3-6 $75 $109 $150
arsc7 Slide Set 7-12 $110 $160 $220

Pricing is based on the number of slides. If you scan 2 slides, the cost is $50 (rate arsc1). If you scan between 3 and 6 then the cost is $75 (rate arsc2). If you scan between 7 and 12, the cost is $110 (rate arsc3). Please note that if you are a non UCSD investigator the outside rate applies.

Q. What if I want to scan more than 12 slides. I have for example 50 I need to scan.

A. Please contact Cyndy Illeman for a custom quote.

Q. I am using a slide format that contains multiple arrays, what is the cost.

A. Rates are based on the number if slides rather than arrays - if there are 8 arrays on one slide such as the Agilent miRNA microarray format, then the cost to scan this format is the cost associated with scanning one slide, i.e. arsc1.
