Illumina Cost Estimate

The Sentrix Expression BeadChips for Human and Mouse are available in two formats, permitting the analysis of six and eight samples respectively. The 6 Expression BeadChip can generate RNA profiles of six samples, analyzing over 46,000 transcripts per sample (i.e. full genome coverage). The 8 Expression BeadChip enables parallel analysis of more samples (eight in total) but less gene content (>23,000 transcripts). Please note that depending on which platform you chose, in the case of the Mouse and Human the minimum number of samples is now 12 for the '6 Expression BeadChip format' or 16 for the '8 Expression BeadChip format'. For Rat BeadChip experiments the minimum sample number is 24.
